The E.ON holding company has established the largest electric vehicle charging station in the Czech Republic. The facility is located in Vystrkov (D1 expressway, EXIT 90), a municipality adjacent to the town of Humpolec.
On its opening day of 28 June 2016, the station will begin providing 6 superchargers for Tesla cars and 4 bays with CHAdeMO, Mennekes Type 2, Combo, and regular electricity sockets. Importantly, the drivers will soon enjoy even more comfort as the area is ready to accommodate a further two bays, enabling each user to recharge their vehicle in no longer than 30 minutes. The station is included in the FAST-E project, aimed to introduce 278 such points in total within Germany, Belgium, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. Fifteen stations out of the above overall number are to be built in the Czech Republic.
EEIKA Brno, s.r.o. has supplied the Vystrkov facility with a PET® MAXI 503 compact substation. Suitably integrated in the premises, the system includes two hermetically sealed, oil-filled transformers with the rated power of 630 kVA; an ORMAZABAL GA 2K 2TS hv switchboard; and two RST 2x 1099/4835 lv switchboards. The entire transformer set was installed on 23 April 2016, and its actual connection to the grid became one of the stages in the process of completing the Vystrkov point and refining its technological basis.
